This is a plain explanation of what Hawkchild Marketing ("we", "us") collects when you visit hawkchild.marketing, use the ROAS calculator, or get in touch, and what happens to it afterwards. Hawkchild Marketing is operated by Martin Nwoga. If anything here is unclear, email martin@hawkchild.marketing and ask directly.
What we collect, and why
| You do this | We collect | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Fill in the contact form | Name, email, website, and whatever you write about your goal | To reply to you and understand your brand before a call |
| Use the ROAS calculator | Nothing, unless you ask for your numbers by email, in which case: your email address and the figures you entered | To send you the report you asked for. The calculator itself runs entirely in your browser, nothing is sent anywhere unless you submit that form |
| Click "Book a call" | Handled entirely by Calendly, not by us. See Calendly's own privacy policy | To schedule the call |
| Just browse the site | Aggregate, anonymous analytics: pages viewed, rough location, device type. No cookies, nobody is individually identified | To understand what's working on the site |
| Come from a Meta ad, or interact with the site while logged into Facebook or Instagram | A cookie-based identifier, and events like page views or button clicks, shared with Meta | To measure whether ads are working and to show relevant ads later |
Cookies
The site uses two tracking technologies, and they work differently:
Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cookieless. It counts visits and pages in aggregate and cannot identify you individually. No consent banner is needed for this, and none is shown.
Meta Pixel
This does use cookies, to measure ad performance and let us show you relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram later. It's active on every page of this site.
Straight answer on consent: this site does not currently show a cookie banner before the Pixel loads. That's a gap we're aware of and are working to close, not a deliberate choice. If you'd rather not be tracked this way in the meantime, use a browser extension that blocks Meta's tracking scripts, or browse in a private/incognito window.
Who we share data with
- Netlify - hosts the site and processes form submissions
- Cloudflare - provides the cookieless analytics above
- Meta - receives Pixel event data, for ad measurement
- Zapier - routes calculator report requests through to email
- Calendly - handles call bookings directly, under its own privacy policy
None of this data is sold. It's used to run the site and the business, nothing else.
How long we keep it
Contact form and calculator submissions are kept for as long as they're useful to the working relationship, and deleted on request at any time. Pixel data follows Meta's own retention rules, which we don't control.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask to see what we hold on you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it's used. Email martin@hawkchild.marketing for any of this. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you think we've got something wrong.
This policy describes what actually happens on this site today, not an idealised version of it. Where something isn't fully sorted yet, like the cookie banner above, it says so rather than glossing over it. This page isn't a substitute for proper legal advice, and if you have specific concerns, a solicitor or the ICO's own guidance is the right next step, not this page.
